Basic information about the race

PÍSECKÝ KRÁLOVSKÝ QUARTER/HALF/MARATHON 2015

Date: Saturday, 26th September, 2015
Place: Písek, registration in the town centre (either at the Stone bridge (Kamenny most) or at the ice arena - will be confirmed). Start directly at the stone bridge (the oldest stone bridge in the Czech Republic)

Time schedule:

• 08:00 opening, registration
• 09:00 start of the Marathon
• 13:00 start of the Half-Marathon
• 15:00 start of the Quarter-Marathon
• 16:30 results announcement

Marathon (5 hours time limit)

• Men up to 39 years, 40 - 49 years 50 - 59 years 60 - 69 years 70 - 99 years
• Women up to 39 years, 40 - 49 years 50 - 59 years 60 - 69 years 70 - 99 years
• 4-member teams (4 x 1 Marathon - each running one leg)
  • Men up to 100 years/150 years/200 years/201 years of age and more
  • Women up to 100 years/150 years/200 years/201 years of age and more
  • Mix up to 100 years/150 years/200 years/201 years of age and more
  • Company teams

Half Marathon (3 hours time limit)

• Men up to 39 years, 40 - 49 years 50 - 59 years 60 - 69 years 70 - 99 years

• 2-member teams (2 x 1 Marathon - each running one leg)

1 Marathon (1.5 hours time limit)

Entry fee

Entry fee is paid by a bank transfer within 7 days of registration. In case of non-payment of the entry fee the registration will be cancelled but can be renewed again.

The entry fee is not refundable. The registration may be transferred to another person or team no later than 48 hours before the starting gun fires.

Prizes

Runners placed 1st to 3rd receive a diploma. Each finisher will receive a Finisher’s Certificate (upon request in the timekeeper’s vehicle) Prizes will be handed over when announcing the results (depending on the possibilities of the Organizer)

The race track

The length of the track is 10,548 meters (5,274 meters there and back) Start and finish of the race and baton passes take place very close to the oldest Czech stone bridge in Písek Refreshment station is located in the finish area and at the turn point

The track leads on bicycle trails along the Otava River on unpaved roads
